Enjoy Free Bus Travel On The TrawsCymru Network!

Are you stuck on ideas for a budget friendly family day out? Then this new free bus travel scheme I came across will be perfect for you if you're looking into exploring Wales.

From Saturday, 8th July the TrawsCymru long distance bus services will be offering free weekend travel across Wales. Introduced by the Welsh Government, this pilot scheme will run on weekends until at least May 2018.

Routes include Aberystwyth to Carmarthen, Wrexham to Barmouth, Bangor to Dolgellau and many more. You can see the full list on their website here

The scheme is ideal for families on a low budget looking to escape to the seaside or one of the beautiful Welsh towns for a family day out over the summer holidays.

It's hoped that the 'Free Travel on Weekends' initiative will not only benefit passengers, but also provide a boost to Welsh tourist attractions and destinations.

Whether you fancy a picnic, a hike, a visit to a castle or a shopping trip, you can jump on a free bus and enjoy the diverse beauty of Wales by taking this free, accessible and environmentally friendly option of transportation!

Please note, there is no need to book in advance but it is expected that TrawsCymru buses will be busier than normal throughout this free promotion.
